Bar Sastre

BAR SASTRESurprisingly, the word you hear the most in Bar Sastre is not coffe, nor tallat (coffee with little milk), nor beer nor rebentat (expresso with liquor), but Xisco. Xisco! Thanks, Xisco. Bye, Xisco. Be right back, Xisco. See you, Xisco. See you tomorrow, Xisco. Not only Xisco (son of Maria and Pedro) is the soul of the Bar Sastre, but his cousin, to top it off, is also a waiter there and is called Xisco, too! No matter what, even if it’s your first time there, you will terribly want to call Xisco Xisco when you leave. It will be your way to feel integrated in the community, since the greatest thing of Can Sastre is that it truly is the soul of the village, a genuine social centre. Up to the point that Xisco is the one who rings the bell of the village’s bell tower when there’s an important event.

At Bar Sastre you can only have food on weekends, maybe to not contradict the saying –“In Pina, the one who doesn’t bring their lunch, doesn’t eat” (it does rhyme in Catalan). On Saturdays and Sundays, at lunchtime you can try the assortments of tapas – meatballs, Spanish and Majorcan specialities like potato salad, omelette, pica-pica or frit – and at night you can have sandwiches, salads and hamburgers. The prices are very affordable.

In Pina, if the Sastre ever shuts down, people will wander the streets, lost and disorientated like bees who have had their honeycomb moved. They will be spectres looking again for a place that has been their social life nucleus for so long.

Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download
